Police Officer: The City of Kingman is seeking candidates for vacancies in its Police Department. The City has seven (7) full time officers and provides 24/7 police services.
Minimum qualifications require candidates to be Kansas residents, 21 years of age at time of appointment, possess a valid Kansas driver’s license, possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, and be a U.S. citizen. The preferred candidates will have full-time law enforcement experience, hold current Kansas CPOST certification, and be currently employed as a full-time police officer in Kansas. Candidates without experience will also be accepted for this position, with continued employment contingent on the successful completion of Kansas CPOST certification training.
The successful candidate must successfully complete and pass several pre-employment tests, including: a drug test, a physical examination, psychological testing, and a background investigation. The successful candidate will also have no felony or non-traffic misdemeanor convictions and no serious traffic convictions.
